CA and BlueTie Join Forces to Help ISPs Turn Email Into Unique Revenue Stream
CA to Resell BlueTie Hosted E-Mail with Featuretisements to ISPs Worldwide

ROCHESTER, N.Y., September 25, 2007 - BlueTie, Inc. (www.bluetie.com), the first company to offer hosted e-mail and calendaring integrated with the Web's most useful services, today announced a strategic relationship with CA, Inc. (NYSE: CA - News), one of the world's largest information technology (IT) management software companies. CA will resell the BlueTie e-mail and calendaring suite as a private-label offering to broadband Internet service providers (ISPs). The offering will provide ISPs with a more robust e-mail and calendaring application to offer to their subscribers as a way to foster brand loyalty, increase usage, and create an enhanced customer experience. Additionally, BlueTie's e-mail monetization model can provide an added revenue stream for ISPs.

BlueTie e-mail with Featuretisements, BlueTie's unique model for monetizing Web-based software, helps ISPs increase customer loyalty and compete against outside e-mail providers by combining e-mail with the Web's most useful services. Featuretisements also provide direct revenue to ISPs each time subscribers complete a transaction using integrated services from companies like Business.com, MapQuest and Constant Contact. This transforms e-mail boxes from a cost center to a consistent revenue stream for ISPs.

The agreement with CA increases BlueTie's access to tier one ISPs, incumbent local exchange carriers (ILECs) and competitive local exchange carriers (CLECs), all of whom can benefit from BlueTie's approach to e-mail. BlueTie's unique combination of e-mail and on-demand services in a single application allows CA to diversify its offerings to ISPs.

"Our association with CA gives us tremendous visibility in the ISP market," said David Koretz, president and CEO of BlueTie. "For ISPs, we offer a high quality e-mail application combined with the Web's most useful services for their customers. BlueTie turns e-mail boxes, traditionally a cost drain for ISPs, into a profit center through our unique monetization model."

George Kafkarkou, senior vice president for CA Home/Small Office, added: "The ISP market is an important channel for CA. We are always seeking new ways to provide our ISP customers with value-added offerings. We believe that BlueTie's technology provides a truly unique and innovative way for ISPs to create more value in addition to delivering features and functions that enhance their customers' experience."

More than 150,000 small and medium size business (SMB) customers have subscribed to BlueTie's free e-mail service since its October launch and the company expects to have over three million total subscribers by the end of the year. Fueling this growth is BlueTie's ability to provide value-added business and consumer services from brand name companies integrated into the functionality of the e-mail, calendaring and file sharing applications. With Featuretisements (demo: http://travel.bluetie.com), BlueTie bypasses traditional online advertising commonly used to monetize free e-mail applications. This new advertising model for Web-based software molds featured offerings as relevant functionality to users. Business.com, Constant Contact and MapQuest are the first partners making their added-value services available through BlueTie. Additional planned offerings include blogs, Internet telephony and Web conferencing.
